Invitation for Expression of Interest – Pre-Qualification of Suppliers for Bulk Supply and Delivery of Plant Consumables tender at  Lindi Jumbo Limited

Lindi Jumbo Limited is located in southeastern Tanzania, about 200km from the port of Mtwara. The project area can be accessed via sealed roads leading from Mtwara to Nanganga, which is approximately 15 km north of Ruangwa. Lindi Jumbo Limited is seeking expressions of interest from qualified companies capable of supplying and delivering the following plant consumables.

Scope of Work
• EOI Reference: EOI/LJL_2024-102
• Products:
• Frother: Polyethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether (Butyl-TriGlycol) Mixture, molecular weight approx. 200 g/mol. Dow 200, Flotanol 200, Sasfroth 200, Senfroth 200, or equivalent.
• Flocculant: Polyacrylamide flocculent, Senfloc 5150, Flopam AN912SH, or equivalent.
• Ceramic Grinding Media (various sizes, 3.2 SG).

Evaluation Criteria
• Frother: Polyethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether (Butyl-TriGlycol) Mixture, 1000 kg/month.
• Flocculant: Polyacrylamide flocculent, 1000 kg/month.
• Ceramic Grinding Media: Various sizes and specifications (e.g., 40mm ceramic balls, 12mm ceramic beads, etc.).

Primary Objectives for the Supplier
• Timely Delivery: Ensure the punctual supply and delivery of plant consumables to  Lindi Jumbo’s specified locations to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Quality Assurance: Provide products meeting or exceeding required quality standards and specifications.
• Reliability: Ensure consistent supply capabilities and prevent delays in product availability that could impact production.
• Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including environmental, health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Cost-effectiveness: Offer competitive pricing structures while maintaining product quality and reliability.
• Technical Support: Provide training, troubleshooting, and on-site support as needed.

Pre-Qualification Requirements
1. Copy of Company Memorandum and Article of Association
2. Company Profile and Updated Organogram
3. Current Business Licence
4. Certificate of Incorporation and annual return
5. Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC), TIN Certificate, and VAT certificate
6. Local Content Compliance Plan
7. Audited financial statements for 2022/2023 and 2023/2024
8. Proof of registration with Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA)
9. Capability Statement
10. Quality Assurance Plan
11. Material Safety Data Sheets
12. Dealership letter from OEM or JV with local Tanzanian indigenous company

Submission Instructions
Companies that possess the ability, capacity, and resources to supply the specified products are invited to express their interest by uploading their proposals via the Procurement portal: www.webportunities.net.
All documents must be submitted in English no later than 12:30 PM East African Time (EAT) on 15th February 2025. Only proposals submitted via the portal will be evaluated.

Evaluation Process
Lindi Jumbo Limited will review and assess the documents based on internal criteria to determine which companies will be pre-qualified. Only pre-qualified companies will receive an invitation to bid by signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as part of the tender process continuation.

Lindi Jumbo Limited is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer received. The adjudication of the tender will be based on the discretion of the company, considering both qualification and commercial aspects.
