About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Import & Export Transit Specialist to manage cross-border logistics and operations. The successful candidate will oversee the movement of goods via land from Tanzania to Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, and Malawi, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and monitor land cargo movements across Tanzania and neighboring countries (Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, and Malawi).
• Prepare and verify all import/export and transit documentation in compliance with customs regulations.
• Liaise with transporters, clearing agents, and border authorities to ensure smooth cargo clearance and delivery.
• Track shipments and resolve any operational or customs-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of transit operations and prepare regular reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, trade laws, and international logistics standards.
• Provide operational support to optimize cost, time, and efficiency in cross-border movement.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in import/export or cross-border logistics (land transit preferred).
• Strong understanding of customs procedures and trade regulations in East & Southern Africa.
• Experience in handling transit documentation (bills of lading, road manifests, customs entries).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders (transporters, agents, border officials).
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cross-border shipments simultaneously.
