Job Title : Head HR

Job Location : Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Reporting : Africa HR Head & Country Manager Tanzania

 

ROLE PURPOSE

This will be a critical role to

1.       Lead the organization’s overall HR agenda in Tanzania .

2.       Implement best in class HR processes and policies

3.       Ensure a healthy, harmonious industrial relation scenario in the business

Role Specifications :

1. HR Strategy

Translate the strategic business plans into Human Resources strategy and operational plans.

· Plan and develop the HR strategy for the business in line with business AOP and LRP.

· Ensure implementing of the HR strategy and plans to support achievement of business objectives.

2. Organization Structures and Staffing

Define future ready structures for the organization and define the talent pipeline building and staffing strategy to ensure availability of right talent.

·Define future ready organization structures in line with key business priorities

·Develop staffing strategies for the business to ensure attraction of best talent

·Ensure robust manpower planning and budgeting process for the business.

Benchmark with talent acquisition and retention practices in other organizations in the sector.

3. Performance and Rewards

 

Drive and sustain a strong performance oriented culture across the business and develop progressive compensation and reward programs for the business.

·Ensure role clarity and effective goal setting processes

·Strengthen the appraisal and feedback process and ensure merit based performance differentiation.

· Study compensation best practices and develop competitive, progressive compensation programs and policies, incentive plans, etc.

4. Talent Management and Capability Building

Develop strong talent management, succession planning and learning and development processes for the business

·Design and implement succession planning for critical positions in the organisation

·Design capability development interventions and ensure development of high potential/key talent

·Provide executive coaching to senior management so as to ensure superior leadership in implementation of strategic plan of the business and observance of Group values.

5. Administration 

Oversee and ensure effectiveness of administration systems across all office locations

· Design and ensure implementation of policies, guidelines and SOPs in order to streamline personnel administration processes in the business

· Critically review administration efficiency from time to time and direct corrective measures, as

and when required

6. Industrial Relations 

Develop the IR strategy for the business to proactively address or resolve critical IR issues pertaining to blue collar staff.

· Develop overall IR strategy for the business based on thorough analysis and investigation of the IR scenario and critical issues.

· Ensure smooth and harmonious industrial relations environment through proactive measures.

7. Organizational Effectiveness and Employee engagement

 Develop and ensure implementation of policies and practices towards ensuring high levels of employee engagement in the organization

· Continuously monitor organizational health, climate and people morale and initiate corrective steps, wherever necessary

· Design and ensure implementation of new HR policies/ review of existing policies based on changing business needs and external best practices

· Ensure continuous communication of and adherence to the organization’s people
