HEALTH SYSTEM PARTNER (HSP) - 1 POST
1.0 Background
Health care is changing: Radical innovation, increased openness to change, increasing patient empowerment, multiple sources of medical information, and pressure on public spending. As a result of all this, the needs of our stakeholders continue to evolve.
The Health System Partner (HSP) is an empowered leader working closely with the health ecosystem stakeholders such as patients, healthcare professionals, Governments, policy makers, regulators, and payers to gain a deep understanding of their needs. The Health System Partner (HSP) is at the center of the health ecosystem – identifies shared purpose and value on Health policy and patient journey, co-creates meaningful solutions and implements them across the health ecosystem, impacting outcomes for thousands of patients faster in a sustainable way to society.

2.0 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
The HSP is a customer-facing role and the primary point of contact within the health ecosystem. He or She partners with health ecosystem stakeholders directly touching the health system and patient journey.
The HSP focuses on the importance of bringing the outside in, working with partners to uncover all potential opportunities to transform outcomes for patients, faster. They also bring the inside out, to bring internal expertise, science and knowledge to the health ecosystem.
By overseeing the health system and patient journey, the HSP acts as a system thinker with the ability to identify shared purpose among stakeholders and leverages this to co-create solutions with stakeholders in the health ecosystem.
The HSP Stewards Roche’s products through their lifecycle and supports their appropriate use, which includes sharing their merits with Healthcare Professionals in a truthful and balanced manner.
The role is empowered to pull in expertise and resources locally and from the regional network as needed, including in collaboration with other Health System Partners and Patient Journey Partners.
The HSP works closely and develops meaningful partnerships with non-traditional (influencers, tech companies, competitors etc.) stakeholders directly touching the Health ecosystem.

3.0 Skills & experience.
Deep understanding of health ecosystem, processes and governance
Demonstrate relevant experience in managing and implementing health ecosystem strengthening activities directly impacting health systems and patient journey.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of country's health ecosystem, particularly the public and private.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills including understanding of patient journey(s) and related treatments in defined disease area(s), partnering with therapeutic area experts and organizations. Experience partnering with patient advocacy groups is also desired.
System thinker and deep listener.
Strong business acumen with desired expertise in commercialization and customer experience excellence
Entrepreneurial mindset - always searching for opportunities for innovation and finding new ways to overcome healthcare ecosystems hurdles.
Ability to understand and leverage digital means and tools for the benefit of all stakeholders is highly desirable.
Innovation - Ability to use information, knowledge and intuition to come up with new business concepts to impact more patients and health systems, new methods of utilizing the resources assigned to him, discovering new markets and stakeholders or new ways of organization.
Broad understanding of oncology, immunology, and ophthalmology. Understanding of Roche’s present portfolio and future pipeline is a plus.
Boldly acts on key decisions and opportunities and boldly stops any activity that is not adding value. Ability to say “No” to stakeholders when the value is not predictable/foreseen.

4.0 QUALIFICATIONS
Education background and capabilities.
University degree (scientific, economic, or business degree). An advanced degree in Life science and/or MBA is a plus.
Practical understanding of digital innovation methodologies.
Fluent in English and the local language. Proficiency in English enables collaboration internally across the broader Roche enterprise.
At the country level, you will work with the Roche appointed distributor for leadership and accountability.
Possession of both of post graduates qualification from recognized and reputable higher learning institutions in the fields of marketing, economic development and planning, business administration, economics or other relevant field.
Good interpersonal skills, practical experience and strong background in resource mobilization, advocacy, lobbing, networking, marketing, engagement and visibility endeavors and aspects.
Mature, energetic, hardworking, versatile and self-motivated.
Excellent knowledge and proven ability in working with computers and variety of computer programmes especially Microsoft office applications (e.g. MS word, Excel, E-mail, Internet, power point, access, etc.)
Demonstrate belief and experience in exploring new opportunities, establishing and maintaining partnerships and keeping track on unfolding social, economic and political events
