JOB DETAILS:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Taking samples of water and food and sending them to the environmental health officer or assistant environmental health officer
• Identifying and documenting water sources
• To prepare a map of the areas with water pollution in order to take the necessary measures
• Cooperate with water committees of villages, and streets in ensuring the safety of water sources

• Mobilizing the community to protect water sources

• To motivate the community to build and use better toilets
• To help educate the community about good hygiene habits

• To provide information on disease outbreaks to his superior

• Motivating the community to design, plan, implement and manage collaborative community environmental health programs
• Conduct house-to-house inspection
• Conducting inspections of residential and commercial buildings
• Management of hazardous waste including waste from health services
• Administering environmental health regulations and;

• To do other tasks assigned to him by his head of work related to his education, experience and skills.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Employed fourth form graduates with a training certificate for Health Assistant or Environmental Health Technician from a college recognized by the Government.
