The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of North Western Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s South East of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

This position carries responsibility for administration of all non-direct patient care by assisting the Chief Medical Officer and Staff Physicians in coordinating personnel, policies, budget, and programmes related to patient care delivery to employees, contractors, and employee dependents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical / Health Information Systems Management, Medical Records, Public Health Management, or related degrees.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least one year experience in clinical setting management.

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide a first response to medical concerns and provide the necessary assistance to calls from employees, contractors, and dependents.
  • Assist in the tracking and organization of medical records i.e., ensures and maintains the medical records storage and archiving.
  • Arranging for transfer of documents when required by respective doctors or patients,
  • Communicate to HR travel coordinators and follow up travel arrangements of referred patients.
  • Retrieval of medical records for complaints management and tracking purposes.
  • Assist in Internal medical bill to contractors’ preparation and assist in external medical bill tracking through purchase requisition and purchase orders.
  • Assist in preparation of health screening reports for review appointments or upon patients’ requests.
  • Document Control of all medical records on company documents repository (KIOSK) that includes policies, procedures and clinical forms of either occupational medicine or hygiene functions.
  • Organize the medical documents to be submitted to WCF, OSHA and other regulatory authorities.
  • Observe all company HSE Policies and Procedures relevant to the job in hand.
  • Tracking the section performance of health and key safety KPIs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Computer literate; conversant with MS Office tools.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Highly organized and exceptionally detail oriented.
  • Good analytical skills and record keeping.
