Job Role/Purpose:
- Direct charge and responsibility of Finance, MIS and Accounts (with preferably experience in Cement Industry) to provide strategic financial leadership and manage financial operations.
- Must possess extensive experience in successfully navigating the complex government liaison processes of African countries.
- Ensure effective cost management through ERP, cost control and budgeting by working with plant functional heads etc.
- The role involves financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support decision-making.
- Ensuring good team management is essential to achieve the company's overall business objectives.
- Safe guarding overall interest of company in terms of effective liasoning with govt depts for compliances and for ensuring good representation of company objectives and activities
Job Requirements
1. Experience - 12- 20 Years
2. Qualification - CA/ ICWA/ Academic degree in Accounts/ Finance/ MBA
3. Job location- East Africa (Preferred candidates are Indian nationals with extensive experience in government liaison of African nations for cement plant operations).
Reporting To - Executive Director
Team Size - 5 Direct Reportees & 10 Indirect
Language Preference -Excellent communication skill (English -Written/Verbal)

Mandatory Requirement :-
Financial Management:
Oversee all financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement and manage cost accounting systems to track production costs, cost of goods sold, and overhead expenses.
- Analyze cost trends and variances to improve cost efficiency.
Government Liaisoning:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
- Represent the company in meetings with government authorities, addressing any financial or regulatory concerns and advocating for the organization's interests.
- Stay updated with changes in government policies, regulations, and taxation affecting the cement industry and communicate the implications to the management team.
- Ensure the company's financial practices align with the applicable regulatory requirements and government guidelines.
- Collaborate with legal advisors to ensure all financial practices adhere to the relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain records of all government liaisoning activities and ensure they are in accordance with legal requirements.
Taxation and Legal Compliance:
- Manage tax planning and compliance to optimize the company's tax position while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with legal advisors to ensure compliance with all financial and legal requirements, minimizing legal risks.
Treasury Management:
- Oversee cash management, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Optimize cash flow and work with financial institutions to manage banking relationships.
Candidate Requirement
- An Ideal Candidate would be an Indian Domicile with 12-20 yrs experience working with Cement & Cement ancillary Industries
- An Overall competence of General Finance Functions and sound knowledge of Accounts, Finance Taxation and support functions as per the role
