Job Description:

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and qualified Insurance Loss Adjusting Professional with a strong background inengineering and certification from the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusting or its equivalent. This professional will join our team as the head of the non-motor division.

The individual will be responsible for attending surveys, preparing reports, discussing claims with CEOs and claim managers of insurance companies.

Additionally, this role will involve proactive marketing activities, requiring the candidate to interact with CEOs and claim managers of insurance companies to obtain claims.

Responsibilities:

1. Claims Assessment:

• Conduct thorough investigations of all non-motor claims ranging from property damage claims, engineering claims to miscellaneous claims, analyzing the extent of loss and assessing the validity of claims.

• Utilize engineering knowledge to evaluate the cause and extent of damage, considering factors such as structural integrity, materials used, and construction methods.

2. Risk Inspection

• Carry out risk inspection for different industries including manufacturing and hotels.

• Prepare risk inspection reports and recommend risk improvement measures to a variety of clients.

• Present risk reports to special rating committees on behalf of insurers

3. Marketing Activities:

• Proactively engage with CEOs and claim managers of insurance companies to establish and maintain relationships.

• Promote our services and capabilities to attract new claims opportunities.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed reports documenting assessment findings, including photographs, measurements, and technical analysis.

• Clearly communicate assessment results to internal stakeholders, clients, and other relevant parties.

5. Collaboration:

• Collaborate with claims adjusters, underwriters, and other internal teams to gather necessary information for accurate assessments.

• Provide expert guidance to internal teams on engineering aspects related to claims.

• Train local team to carry out inspections, prepare reports and carry out marketing activities.

6. Client Interaction:

• Communicate effectively with policyholders, contractors, and other external parties to facilitate the claims process.

• Address client inquiries and concerns, providing clear and concise explanations of assessment outcomes.

7. Experience and Qualifications:

• Qualified Loss Adjustor with certification from the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusting or its equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in engineering related loss assessment however with exposure

to other classes of insurance.

• Adequate insurance qualifications and certifications, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of insurance principles and practices.

• Adequate engineering qualifications

8. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement in the claims assessment workflow.

• Provide input on the development and enhancement of assessment tools

and methodologies.
