Paveway Africa Limited on behalf of our client is looking for a Front Office Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all front office operations to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operation of the front desk. This role includes managing staff, ensuring efficient check-in and check-out procedures, handling guest complaints, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Responsibilities
- To supervise, train, and mentor front office staff, including receptionists, concierge, and guest services agents.
- Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure efficient and friendly check-in and check-out procedures.
- To address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
- Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, including managing reservations, room assignments, and billing.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to front office operations.
- To implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
- To handle cash transactions and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- To coordinate with other departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, and security to ensure smooth operations.
- To conduct training programs for new and existing staff.
- To ensure staff are proficient in using all necessary technology.
- To build and maintain positive relationships with guests.
- Collect feedback and use it to improve services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in front office operations, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in front office software (e.g., PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts.
- High level of attention to detail and professionalism.
- Capability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
