Role Description

As a Flight Reservationsist and Aircraft Scheduler for Safari Air Link, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations for our small bush airline. Your responsibilities will range from warmly welcoming passengers and confirming their presence for scheduled flights, to meticulously planning routes and timings. You'll also handle essential tasks such as updating flight schedules, communicating with customers and travel agents, issuing tickets, and managing our complex reservations system. Your exceptional customer service skills, combined with your proficiency in Aero CRS, will contribute to creating a seamless travel experience for our passengers. Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome passengers to the office in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensure that the correct passengers have arrived for the scheduled flight and determine the whereabouts of any missing passengers.
  • Prepare the month's flight schedule, efficiently planning routes and timings to optimize operations.
  • Daily update the flight schedule to reflect any changes or adjustments.
  • Reliably update lodges with the most up-to-date timings of flight arrivals, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
  • Communicate with direct customers and travel agents via email and phone to address inquiries, provide information, and assist with reservations.
  • Issue tickets to passengers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconfirm flight times with passengers 72 hours before the scheduled departure to provide a seamless travel experience.
  • Manage and update the complicated flight reservations system to maintain accurate records and facilitate smooth operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Trained in Aero CRS or similar flight reservations systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under high-pressure situations and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service, with experience in interacting with international tourists.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and flight reservations software.
  • Previous experience in the aviation industry is preferred.
