1. Fleet Manager (1 Position)

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Profit Centre head for the Logistics Department.
  • Oversee the daily operations of a fleet of 50-100 trucks.
  • Develop strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce downtime, and improve fuel efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Finished Goods (FG) and Raw Material (RM) stores, drivers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Supervise fleet maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Track vehicles in real-time and report exceptions to the Fleet Manager.
  • Maintain trip records and provide support for emergencies and transit issues.
  • Assist in driver and helper recruitment and manage fleet operations’ budget.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or fleet management.
  • Proven experience as a Fleet Manager, preferably handling 50+ vehicles.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and fleet tracking tools.
  • Valid driver’s license (preferably with a heavy vehicle endorsement).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet management software.
  • Understanding of Tanzanian road safety laws and regulations.
