1. Fleet Manager (1 Position)
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Profit Centre head for the Logistics Department.
- Oversee the daily operations of a fleet of 50-100 trucks.
- Develop strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce downtime, and improve fuel efficiency.
- Coordinate with Finished Goods (FG) and Raw Material (RM) stores, drivers, suppliers, and customers.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Supervise fleet maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Track vehicles in real-time and report exceptions to the Fleet Manager.
- Maintain trip records and provide support for emergencies and transit issues.
- Assist in driver and helper recruitment and manage fleet operations’ budget.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or fleet management.
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager, preferably handling 50+ vehicles.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with logistics software and fleet tracking tools.
- Valid driver’s license (preferably with a heavy vehicle endorsement).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet management software.
- Understanding of Tanzanian road safety laws and regulations.
