As part of the efforts of cooperation and expansion to enforce implementation of development plans to open a regional office in the United Republic of Tanzania.

Our main activity in all countries including UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA is to give support provision and encouraging humanity work. furthermore, the consolidation of charitable work by support citizenship value and human rights as well. In additional we intending to provide the support to the whole humanity aspects such as social, cultural and education as has been mentioned.

 

Job Title: Financial Officer

Location: Tanzania

This position will work in Tanzania office, responsible for the oversight of strategic and operational finance matters.

The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring that Qatar Charity Tanzania Office’s financial information is complete and correct. This role will require the successful candidate to prepare initial review of the financial statements of the organization in a timely, efficient and accurate manner following the highest standards. This role will also require the accountant to monitor and maintain the project’s accounts and statements efficiently.

  • The main purpose recruiting is to fill the position below:

 

  1. The integrity and correctness of carrying out financial and accounting transactions in accordance with international accounting standard.
  2. Providing useful information through financial reports to the users of these reports, enabling them to take appropriate decision.
  3. Issuing periodic financial reports on the financial position, business results, and cash flows for the management.
  4. To protect the assets and investments of the office through financial control and internal control.
  5. Implementing financial regulations, procedures, systems and policies.
  6. Prepare the estimated budget, follow up on its implementation, and submit reports thereon.
  • Job Requirement: (Education and Qualification)

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
  2. Professional experience 3-5 years in accounting and finance, auditing and budgeting.
  3. Computer skills.
  4. Languages (Arabic, English and Swahili) must be able to read, write and speak fluently.
  5. Good record-keeping skills to meet state and federal tax and non-profit regulations.

 

  • Job Role and Responsibility:
  1. Responsible for recording and keeping different accounting and finance operation.
  2. Responsible for maintenance and update of a computerized accountancy system as required.
  3. Recording the entries for the payment and repayments in the accounting system.
  4. Preparing the banking reconciliation regularly.
  5. Adding the new budgets or any updates to the accounting software.
  6. Recording and monitoring the fixed assets.
  7. Make archiving and electronic archiving for payment vouchers and general journal documents on the finance department.
  8. Preparing cheques and transfers.
  9. Responsibility for keeping accounting books and records in accordance with the primary accounting standards.
  10. Preparing the required financial statements and reports.
  11. Responsible for monitoring all accounting and financial activities and reporting on them.
  12. Responsibility for applying financial control systems and monitoring their operations effectively in order to protect the assets of the office.
  13. participation in procurement committees.
  14. Preparing the estimated budget in coordination with the director and officials in the office.
  15. Ensuring the application of the approved financial policies, systems and procedures.
  16. Follow up the implementation of the annual plan and the estimated budget and verify its implementation within the specified deadlines.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Must be Tanzanian citizen
  • Fully aware of Tanzania municipal regulations, policies and procedures, local laws, taxes, social security etc.
  • Understanding of the Qatar Charity cultural and political environment.

  • The incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality in performing the duties of the Finance officer.
  • The incumbent must also demonstrate the following personal attributes:

  • Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity and demonstrate sound work ethics.

·        Must be Tanzanian citizen

·        Fluent in Arabic and English language (written and spoken)

·        Prevent proficiency in Microsoft Excel is must.
