 What You’ll Do
 • Assist in Kitchen Leadership: Support the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen’s daily operations, ensuring smooth workflows and consistent quality across all sections.
 • Deliver Culinary Excellence: Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of taste, consistency, and visual appeal.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and refine menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences while maintaining cost efficiency.
 • Team Development: Mentor and train junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment that drives excellence.
• Maintain Operational Efficiency: Ensure proper planning and execution of mise en place, service preparation, and inventory management to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
 • Ensure Quality Control: Conduct regular checks of all kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
 • Monitor Performance: Evaluate team performance, providing feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to RIU’s high standards.
What We’re Looking For
 • Extensive Culinary Experience: Proven experience in a Sous Chef role or similar leadership position within a professional kitchen, preferably in a five-star or luxury all-inclusive hotel.
 • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team, ensuring operational excellence and a positive workplace culture.
 • Culinary Expertise: Advanced knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and international cuisines, with a creative approach to menu development.
 • Organizational Proficiency: Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume, high-quality kitchen environment.
