Responsibilities:

• Managing all building maintenance operations
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and retain forecasts and report variances
• Preparing and publishing timely necessary repairs
• Building Engineer will also be responsible for potential building risk management.
• Assigning & Directing the tasks to the technicians as per schedule

Required skills:

• You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be very experienced at dealing with a range of technicians and managers
• Basic computer literacy
• Skillful in terms emails, charts preparation
• Multi-project management acumen gathered over several years in civil engineering
  • • Experience with budget and turnover responsibility (ideally P&L)
    • Proven acumen in modern project management methods, project presentation and business development
    • Long-term experience in leadership of > 8 direct reports as department or team leader
    • Negotiation experience (contracts, addenda, etc.) ideally in intercultural contexts

    Languages:

    English: fluent business conversation

    Swahili (nice to have)

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar
• At least eight (8) years on such job
