JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Systems Management:
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in networking infrastructure.
• Design, install, and maintain power systems for ISP equipment.
Wireless Network Design and Implementation:
• Work with RF systems, antennas, and microwave links.
• Conduct wireless site surveys and optimize coverage.
• Install and troubleshoot point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) wireless networks.
ISP Infrastructure Support:
• Assist in setting up and maintaining data centers, base stations, and network nodes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards for electrical and network installations.
• Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless connectivity and power reliability.
Project Management & Compliance:
• Undertake planning, scoping, design and implementation for internal and external projects.
• Work with vendors and contractors to deploy and maintain projects for various customers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with electrical and telecommunications standards.
• Keep up with advancements in both electrical engineering and wireless networking.
Miscellaneous
• Stay up to date with industry practices and standard
• Stay up to date with new and improving technologie
• Evaluate and advise on improvements across the boar
• Any other related and supporting task
• Ensure international standards for reliability and stability for all implementations.
Qualifications & Requirements (tick where applicable):
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering
• Worked in an ISP or telecom environment with knowledge of power and networking systems
• Certifications in related technologies and/or governing standards
• Hands on experience with RF, microwave, and wireless networking (Wi-Fi, LTE, etc.) equipment and systems.
• Familiarity with tools for wireless surveys (indoor and outdoor)
• Familiarity with tools for electrical surveys
• Familiarity with tools for electrical troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with electrical equipment and systems.
• Ability to conduct site surveys and power audits
• Understanding of fiber optics and structured cabling
• Experience in managing a team
