WeWorld is looking for three (3) Drivers:

1 Driver for Mbeya region

1 Driver Kigoma region

1 Driver for Mtwara region

Contract Information:

Position/Contract type: Full time - National Employment Contract

Contract Duration: 12 months (including 3 months as probation period), with possibility of extension

Starting date: July, 2020

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly, monthly transport duties

Drive the organization’s vehicle for the transport of authorized personnel and material.

Always maintain assigned vehicle clean and in good condition, properly for the convenience of the organizations’ operations.

Ensure day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle, routine check-up including but not limited to oil, brake function, water, lights & tire condition, windshield wipers, etc.

Confirm availability of vehicle tools and equipment before, during and after work.

Log all trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.;

Carry out logistics duties according to the needs.

Ensure safety of the vehicle /passengers /materials

Ensure safety of passengers on aboard the organization’s vehicles.

Ensure vehicle first aid kit and fire extinguishers and other vehicle safety equipment are available and in good condition.

Strictly observe national traffic rules and regulations including maximum speed limit, as well as We World’s SOP.

Exercise defensive driving while on the road to prevent accident.

Report all major and minor damages and accidents on the vehicle.

Required Qualifications:

·         A valid driving licence Class B and D

·         At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the regions of the project

·         Fluent in English Language

·         Certificate: driving certificate, certificate of secondary education (CSEE)

·         Previous experience with NGOs constitutes a plus

·         At least two references from previous employer(s).
