i.     Perform all hospital medical work related to    various ailments including pediatric diseases, gynecology    and general and emergency surgery;

    ii.         Provide and manage health education as well as improve   community health in Districts and Regions or their workplace;

   iii.                 Detecting, monitoring and preventing outbreaks;

           iv.         Maintain data and use it as directed in the principles of MTUHA;

            v.         Planning and evaluating health services in its workplace;

           vi.         Training students and staff present in the workplace;

         vii.         Supervise and direct the staff under him;

        viii.         Teaching students in health colleges located in his workplace;

           ix.         Design and conduct research and disseminate results;

            x.         Design and prepare strategies to enhance the quality of service of his profession;

           xi.         Prepare health care plans and budget estimates;

  xii.         Participate in, review and improve health services (medical audit and quality improvement);

        xiii.         Provide outreach services in its District / Region; and

xiv.         To perform such other duties as may be assigned to him or her by his or her supervisor for his or her education, experience and skills.

Applicant should have obtained a Doctorate / Dentistry degree from a recognized Government / Universities and completed an internship of at least 12 months and obtained registration from the Medical Council of Tanganyika (Medical Council of Tanganyika).
