The European Broadcasting Union EBU is looking for a Digital Marketing Officer.

This is a remote position (EMEA open locations), thanks to our collaboration with our EOR (employer of records) global partner, we are open to hiring in various locations.

ABOUT THE MEMBER RELATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS (MRC) DEPARTMENT

The MRC department leads the EBU’s Member relations’ efforts, including strategizing, planning for, and implementing activities and services that provide value to Members, assisting Members in maximizing their use of EBU services and promoting membership retention and growth. The MRC department also develops a long-term strategy for internal and external communications of EBU and public service media (PSM) matters, marketing of the EBU Member value proposition, assessing membership satisfaction with EBU, and contributing to the alignment of the EBU activities with Members' needs and priorities.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

As Digital Marketing Officer you will be responsible for shaping, implementing, and driving digital marketing campaigns that foster personalization and increases member engagement and satisfaction. You will work closely with colleagues within the MRC department and across the organization to implement digital marketing strategies that increase awareness, understanding and consideration of our mission, goals, and service portfolios to our target audiences.

The successful candidate will define and execute a digital marketing strategy together with the Head of Digital Strategy and Marketing that communicates the value of the EBU and its service portfolio to its Members and key stakeholders. You will be the central coordinator of the customer relations management tool (XRM) and the development of its modules (email marketing, events and groups apps) to come up with lead, segmentation and automation strategies. You will act as a central point of contact, coordinating with internal stakeholders to make sure that the EBU efficiently uses its digital channels (email marketing, social media and websites) and digital tools (CRM/XRM data, web CMS, marketing templates) to grow Member users and engagement, and improve user experience. The role also plays a major role in enhancing EBU brand awareness online and on social platforms via organic and paid advertising.

The role reports into the Head of Digital Strategy and Marketing within the Member Relations and Communications (MRC) Department.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 8 years of experience in digital and content marketing (especially B2B) for organisations with strong customer focus and mentality.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing (especially B2B content marketing) with solid experience in identifying and targeting key audiences and creating digital campaigns from scratch that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and email marketing software (ideally ClickDimensions)
  • Knowledge of different web CMS (ideally Jahia) and online publishing standards
  • Knowledge of website analytics and paid advertising tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads) as well as keyword research tools.
  • Strong understanding of how social media fits into the digital marketing mix and how/when to utilize social platforms versus other channels.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, social media and measurement
  • Experience in an international environment and with a member-driven organization a plus.
  • Track record of team working and problem solving
  • Ability to work under stress and tight deadlines
  • Experience in working remotely and across functions in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment.
  • Creative, positive, can-do approach, with strong analytical skills and data-driven approach.

LANGUAGE - Native written and spoken English. Knowledge of French a plus.

EDUCATION - Bachelor’s Degree, subject: Marketing, Digital Strategies, Media
