| DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | i. To perform all medical tasks in the hospital related to oral and dental diseases. ii. To provide and supervise oral and dental health education. iii. To improve oral and dental health in his/her area of work and iv. the community. v. To perform dental fillings/repairs, surgery, dental fabrication, orthodontics vi. To supervise subordinate staff vii. To investigate, monitor and prevent disease outbreaks viii. To teach students in health colleges located in his/her area of work ix. To design and conduct research and disseminate results x. To design and prepare strategies to improve the quality of services in his/her field xi. To prepare plans and budget estimates for oral and dental health services xii. To participate in, review and improve health services (medical audit and quality improvement) xiii. To provide outreach services in his/her district/region xiv. To maintain statistics and use them as directed in the principles of MTUHA xv. To plan and evaluate oral and dental health services in the area of work xvi. Conduct research in various areas of oral and dental health xvii. Perform other tasks assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience and skills |
| QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | Employment of Dental Degree holders from Government-recognized Universities/Colleges who have completed an "Internship" and obtained registration from the Medical Council of Tanganyika. |
