As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop data solutions, optimize reporting workflows, and provide analytical support to improve business outcomes. Your work will go beyond reporting—identifying trends, building scalable data models, and enabling teams to make data-driven decisions with confidence. As a subject matter expert in data and analytics, you will take ownership of projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and business impact. You will also play a role in improving data literacy across teams, helping stakeholders understand and effectively use data to optimize their operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead data projects from inception to completion, working closely with stakeholders to define objectives, gather requirements, and develop scalable solutions
- Develop and maintain robust data models, KPIs, and metrics to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
- Optimize and automate reporting workflows, ensuring data accessibility and efficiency in decision-making
- Analyze operational, financial, and customer data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities that impact business performance
- Act as a key liaison between technical teams (engineering, data science) and business teams, translating complex data requirements into practical solutions
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI and other visualization tools, ensuring adoption and usability
- Provide strategic recommendations based on deep-dive analysis, helping stakeholders make data-driven decisions
- Ensure data quality and integrity, proactively identifying and resolving inconsistencies or inaccuracies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, leveraging data to enhance efficiency and scalability across teams
- Train and mentor stakeholders to improve data literacy, empowering teams to interpret and leverage data effectively
- Stay up to date on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence
About You
- You are located in South Africa
- Minimum of a Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Economics, Econometrics, Statistics or other
- Prior experience of minimum 3 years in the field of data analytics
- Experience in data mining, modelling, manipulation and visualization techniques
- Experience in data tech stacks (SQL, Microsoft Power BI, Databricks, Python/R etc.)
- Business acumen: you understand a growing company's needs, can work under pressure, and can help empower and enable us to grow further by utilizing data effectively (creative use of data to build new products/solutions)
- Collaborative spirit (team up naturally with like-minded Data Geeks at 5CA and other teams)
- Effective communication & presentation skills (ability to explain complex ideas and analysis to stakeholders)
- Great sense of ownership and accountability (deliver projects/products end-to-end)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze processes, identify root-causes, and recommend solutions quickly.
- You are available to work in the CET time zone.
Technical Requirements
