JOB DETAILS:
Consultancy Scope
FIC is looking to hire an Industry Linkage/ Employment consultant to provide comprehensive support to ensure successful job placement for the primary beneficiaries of the Ajira Kwa Vijana Project. The key functions of the Industry Linkage/Employment Consultant will include the following;
• With the stakeholders’ connections, he/she has from previous experiences, the Industry, The linkage/Employment Consultant will work hand in hand with the Employment Services Officer and Training & Matching Officer in ensuring the placement of 700 youth in different job opportunities.

• Provide support in organizing career events like; Employment Forums and Career Fairs.

• Provide support to the team in recruiting 450 soft skills training beneficiaries from
different Vocational training centres.
• Guide on any matters related to recruitment, training and job placements of the Ajira Kwa
Vijana project.
• Liaise with the Employment Services Officer and Training & Matching Officer to ensure the right
stakeholders are inducted on the goals of the Ajira Kwa Vijana Project.
• Submit the report on the progress.

NB:
 The consultant will be paid based on the attainment of key deliverables, which will be agreed upon at the time of signing the contract. These include placement of youths in sustainable jobs, career fairs or recruitment forums conducted and stakeholder events organized.
Duration
The duration of the consultancy will be spread over five months from the date of signing.

Required qualifications and experience:
1. A relevant university degree or higher diploma certificate from a recognized institution in East Africa.
2. A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in social work, human resources or other related fields.
3. A vast network of employers in the blue-collar industry.
4. Proven track record in conducting similar assignment
5. Prior experience working with youth and Vocational training Centers.
6. Familiarity and relevant experience in Youth Employment related projects.
7. Have experience implementing donor-funded programs (NGOs).
