Qualification / Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience in similar position within pipeline construction.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification
  • Must possess construction experience in ground preparation, Civil Engineering.

Job Summary

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for Supervision of the day-to-day construction activities of the staff & contractors. He/she will ensure the work is carried out using safe working practices and is completed in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and specifications. Supervise the execution of construction works ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures and verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and in the planned time frame.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide supervisory support to the contractor to report on a daily basis on progress and activities.
  • Assist contractors for the correct interpretation of the drawings, providing support in the solution of technical problems.
  •  Verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with the project specifications, highlighting any engineering problems encountered in the field.
  • Make sure that work sites are cleaned and cleared of any hazardous materials prior to the beginning of work project.
  • Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor.
  • Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner.
  • Work within company policy and compliance with the quality and HSE management system of the company.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.
  • Conducts daily pre shift safety briefings prior to commencement of work.
  • Prepares manpower, equipment, materials and safety equipments required for th eday’s activity.
  • Reports incidents, hazards and other issues related to quality and health na dsafety and the environment
