As a professional analyst and advisor to the U.S. staff in planning and executing programs to facilitate marketing U.S. goods and services and overall trade promotion, the incumbent advises U.S. companies by creating market-entry or market-expansion strategies; identifying potential local partners and distributors, planning trade-promotion events, researching and writing market research; handling complex trade complaints, and developing relationships with host-country and U.S. business and government representatives to support expending trade between the U.S. and Tanzania.
