As a Commercial Director, you will lead sales efforts focused on building strong relationships with money transfer operators, payment service providers, and banks. You will leverage your existing network and deep industry knowledge to drive revenue growth, develop strategic partnerships, and represent the company in your local market.

What you'll be doing:
- You lead the commercial strategy and execution for your designated market, driving revenue growth by building and managing strong relationships with money transfer operators (MTOs), payment service providers (PSPs), and banking partners.
- You leverage your existing client network to onboard new business and expand market presence, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact.
- You develop and present detailed business plans outlining volume and revenue growth targets, demonstrating a clear methodology to achieve ambitious sales goals.
- You collaborate closely with internal teams, including product, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- You identify market opportunities and competitive trends, providing insights to shape company strategy and tailor offerings to local market needs.
- You take ownership of the full sales cycle, from prospecting and negotiation to closing deals and managing ongoing client relationships.
- You contribute to building and mentoring a high-performing commercial team, fostering a results-driven, entrepreneurial culture focused on growth and client success.
What we're looking for:
- Extensive experience in sales and business development within the money transfer operator (MTO), payment service provider (PSP), or banking sectors, with a proven track record of building and managing client relationships.
- Strong network and existing client portfolio in one or more key markets such as Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, Middle East, Europe, Africa, or North America.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic commercial plans that drive significant revenue growth and market expansion.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality, eager to build and grow a client base while working independently and taking full ownership of market development.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of representing the company confidently and building trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Results-driven with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes, including meeting or exceeding revenue targets through effective client acquisition and retention.
- Flexibility to work remotely with regular engagement at the Singapore office and willingness to travel frequently to key markets as needed.
- Integrity, strong character, and a growth mindset, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic fintech environment.
What you'll need:
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in commercial sales roles within the fintech, money transfer operator (MTO), or payment service provider (PSP) sectors.
- Strong network and existing client relationships with MTOs, PSPs, banks, or remittance companies in your target market.
- Demonstrated track record of driving significant revenue growth and business development, ideally with a clear methodology for client acquisition and retention.
- Deep understanding of the remittance and cross-border payments landscape, including key players and market dynamics.
- Ability to develop and present detailed business plans outlining volume and revenue growth over an 18-month horizon.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality—self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in local markets.
- Willingness to work remotely with regular travel to regional hubs such as Singapore for team collaboration and meetings.
- Integrity and strong character, able to demonstrate authenticity and alignment between claims and track record.
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with a focus on building and scaling commercial teams.
- Based in or willing to relocate to your target market region; ability to work full-time as a direct hire.
- Comfortable working within a commission-based compensation model aligned with business volume targets.
