BESIX Ballast Nedam (BBN) Limited, the CONTRACTOR for the Engineering, procurement and
Construction of the Jetty and Load Out Facilities in the Tanga Bay for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project, invites application for Coating Inspector

Purpose and scope of assignment.
Coating Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our coating operations meet industry standards and specifications.

Job responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive inspections of coating application processes, including presurface preparation, coating application, curing, and post-application procedures.
• Utilize advanced inspection techniques, such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic inspection, magnetic particle testing, and visual assessments to verify coating quality and adherence.
• Conduct adhesion tests and evaluate coating thickness using appropriate tools and instruments.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and relevant data.
• Generate comprehensive inspection reports, outlining observations, deviations, and recommended corrective actions.
• Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure proper documentation and communication of inspection outcomes.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure that coating applications comply with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to surface preparation and coating application teams to enhance the quality of work.
• Assist in the development and review of coating procedures, work instructions, and quality assurance plans.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in coating materials and techniques.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Level I and Level II Coating Inspectors, sharing your expertise and best practices.
• Offer technical support to internal teams and clients, addressing questions related to coating inspection methods and results.

Job Qualification, Experience and Skills
Applicants should demonstrate the following:
• Tanzanian citizenship
• Hold a Level III Coating Inspector Certificate (AMPP, FROISO or ACQPA)
• Minimum 10 years of experience at coating inspections
• Knowledge of coating processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with coating test methods.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Experience in oil and gas project
