Clothing Retail Store Salespersons are responsible for assisting customers in finding and purchasing clothing and accessories in a retail environment. They provide product information, offer styling advice, handle transactions, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and offer assistance.
• Listen to customer needs and preferences, providing appropriate product suggestions.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving issues.
• Assist customers in fitting rooms, offering feedback on outfits and sizes.

Product Knowledge:

• Stay informed about the latest fashion trends, styles, and clothing brands.
• Have a deep understanding of the store's merchandise, including features, benefits, and pricing.
• Educate customers about the quality and uniqueness of products to drive sales.

Sales and Upselling:

• Actively engage customers and encourage them to make purchases
• Upsell additional items, such as accessories or complementary clothing pieces
• Meet or exceed sales targets through effective customer interaction and suggestive selling techniques
• Participate in store promotions and sales events to maximize revenue.

Store Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including arranging merchandise and displays
• Monitor inventory levels and inform management about low stock items
• Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining visual merchandising standards
• Ensure that fitting rooms are clean and well-maintained.

Cash Handling and Transactions:

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment in accordance with store policies
• Provide customers with receipts and handle returns or exchanges as needed.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve store goals
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers
• Assist in training new sales staff and provide support as needed.

Customer Engagement:

• Maintain relationships with regular customers, ensuring personalized service and building customer loyalty
• Collect customer feedback and convey it to management for continuous improvement
• Follow up with customers regarding their shopping experience and satisfaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college education in fashion or retail is a plus)
• Previous experience in retail sales, especially in clothing or fashion stores
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customers simultaneously
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
• Knowledge of fashion trends and clothing styles
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for providing excellent customer service
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
