We are hiring on behalf of a forward-thinking holding company headquartered in Riyadh, seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology strategy and innovation efforts. This is a full-time remote opportunity open to exceptional candidates within the EMEA region.
About the Role
As Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for setting the company’s technological vision and leading the execution of technology initiatives across its diverse portfolio of businesses. You will work closely with executive leadership, product teams, and engineering functions to ensure scalable, secure, and future-ready technology solutions are in place to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of software solutions across multiple subsidiaries.
- Lead and grow a high-performing technical team, including engineering, product, and infrastructure.
- Implement best practices for system security, data protection, and disaster recovery.
- Identify and integrate emerging technologies to drive innovation and operational efficiency.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and third-party providers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology investments with business priorities.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate technology performance and outcomes.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and technological excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably in a holding company or multi-industry environment.
- Strong background in software architecture, cloud technologies, and digital transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead distributed engineering teams in a remote setting.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus.
