Ramani is building an Operating System for Africa's FMCG supply chain. Africa's supply chain is broken because of a lack of data visibility & access to financial services. Ramani solves this by providing a modern supply chain management platform and embedded inventory financing for micro distributors of FMCGs.

Finance Responsibilities

Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks

Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems

Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, internal auditors etc.)

Oversee all audit and internal control operations

Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and develop & manage relationships with partners and debt investors

Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to investors

Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines

Capital Markets Responsibilities

Structure, analyze and execute on securitizations, warehouse facilities and other funding outlets to facilitate company’s rapid growth

Manage the relationships with company’s many funding and deal partners including investment banks, investors, rating agencies, lawyers and auditors

Collaborate internally with product, finance, credit and operations teams to provide a capital markets perspective into the FP&A and business strategy processes

Manage our debt-based capital structure, including projecting our short and long-term capital needs and providing funding recommendations as needed

Identify currency, FX and other hedging needs and opportunities

Manage investors, including regular discussions with our lenders and with ratings agencies

Lead executive and departmental meetings to drive projects and processes

Build a deep understanding of our operating business, and create relationships with our Executives and leaders across Strategy, Operations and Product

 

Requirements

Master’s in Business or Finance

5+ years of Investment Banking or Private Equity, particularly within Retail, Technology, Leveraged Finance, Sponsors or Financial Institutions Groups

Some experience within Corporate Finance preferred, particularly Treasury, Strategy, Corporate Development or FP&A

Excellent skills in Excel financial forecasting, project management and Powerpoint

Ability to apply a solutions-based approach to problem solve and manage large projects

Good understanding of Financial Operating Systems

Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Established relationships with banks and key financial institutions in Tanzania
