Chief Financial Controller (Group)

Location: Zanzibar, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire financial operations of the group across its diverse sectors, ensuring financial stability and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the group’s subsidiaries in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, and renewable energy.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements to ensure the efficient management of the company’s resources.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to assist in decision-making and support business growth and profitability.
• Ensure that the company is compliant with all local tax regulations, financial laws, and corporate governance requirements.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure optimal performance and growth.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights for strategic planning and business development.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities.
• Ensure financial risks are mitigated and manage internal audits effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role in a group or conglomerate.
• Strong background in financial reporting, accounting, compliance, and leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of local and international financial regulations.
• Proven experience in managing teams and providing leadership within a corporate structure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred.
