We are currently working with well known Private Equity fund focusing on Food & Agri investing in East Africa.

Currently they are looking for a CEO to join the team and shape the business of the portfolio companies. On site presence would be required, therefore moving to Tanzania, Dar es Salaam would be a must. CEO will be responsible for all business operations, building the full organisation, from market launch to becoming the market leader in Tanzania.

The ideal candidate:

Any candidate that qualifies for the position has both commercial and management experience and is excited to build an outstanding business in Tanzania.

• Professional experience:

• Academic background in a relevant field o Commercial experience, preferably in FMCG
• Management experience
• Experience and/or affinity with working in Africa
• Prior experience in Food & Agri
• Prior Experience within IB, Corporate or Consulting 3-10 years

• Competencies:

• Ambitious and resilient in delivery o Entrepreneurial and commercial mindset
• Strong social and communicative skills
• Structured and result driven
• Pro-active, creative and pragmatic
• Drive to work in an early stage food business in Africa
• Excellent Written and Verbal communication in English
