Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate our culinary team to uphold the highest standards of quality and creativity.
  • Design menus that showcase the rich tapestry of Tanzanian cuisine, utilizing fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and adherence to sanitation standards.
  • Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of culinary excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for menu development, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
Required profile for job ad : ChefRequirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or similar leadership role in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong passion for Tanzanian cuisine and a deep understanding of its traditional flavors and cooking techniques.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Creative flair and a commitment to innovation, with a willingness to experiment and push culinary boundaries.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Knowledge of International Quisine is an added advantage
