The Job holder will be responsible for the revenue growth, management of channel infrastructure and growth of mobile device market share.

Job Description

  • Channel Management (70%)
    • Growth Revenue
      • To achieve set mobile sales and retention targets based on the business plan,
      • Develop and implement sales strategies,
      • Planning, forecasting and execution of sales plans,
      • Achieve growth and sales targets, building a sustainable revenue channel, ensuring d.light’s competitive advantage is maintained.
    • Business Development
      • Locate or propose potential business opportunities and customers,
      • Develop and drive business plans in line with customers needs,
      • Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners in the country.
    • Trade Marketing
      • Liaise with the marketing team, making recommendations and providing relevant, specific guidance and inputs in line with marketing objectives and brand print,
      • Track market developments, competitor activity and gather market intelligence for future marketing investment.
    • Channel Operations
      • Responsible for distributor, channel and Field Force teams’ relationship management i.e. Memorandum of Understanding, Regional Channel Executives, Zonal Channel Coordinators and Aftersales Technicians and Authorized Service Centres,
      • Produce periodic business performance reports,
      • Training of promoters and resellers on how to effectively sell the product,
      • Communication of all activities with channel partners.
  • Category Management (30%)
    • S/he will be the subject matter expert in the mobile category.
    • S/he will lead and execute category management projects in the region which includes supporting introduction of new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing ROI analyses; support products development team in the Regional and National office team with insights and market nuances.
    • S/he recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 – 6 years’ experience devices management and distribution
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Comfortable operating independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial background and good business acumen
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with teams, strong interpersonal skills enabling connections with people at various levels of seniority.
