Role: Automation Test Engineer Leapwork
Duration: 6+ months contract with extension
Location: 100% remote
Timezone: Min 4 hours overlap CST
Fulltime 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using the Leapwork automation platform.
- Perform functional, UI, and regression testing to ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Develop and execute automation strategies and test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation testing with the development lifecycle.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
- Analyze test results, report and manage defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Continuously improve the automation framework to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Participate in the creation and review of business requirements and contribute to the test strategy.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in automation testing with a focus on using the Leapwork platform.
- Proven experience in functional, UI, and regression testing.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient with Leapwork for creating automated test cases.
- Expertise in scripting and executing automated tests.
- Strong knowledge of automation testing best practices.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development life cycle.
- Excellent analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Tools and Technologies:
- Proficiency with Leapwork automation platform.
- Experience with other testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages is desirable.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
