JOB SUMMARYNA
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESi. Coordinate all community development activities in the Village including women and children and based on gender;

ii. To enable the community to participate in the design, planning, implementation, management, evaluation of development plans / projects;

iii. To motivate and enable citizens to plan and implement development activities which include sanitation, construction of quality rural houses, construction of schools, clinics, dips, rural roads (Feeder Roads), drilling of shallow wells and drilling of dams ;

iv. To motivate and enable the people to devise strategies to solve development barriers especially water and energy by having rainwater harvesting projects, standard stoves and wheelchair use;

v. Provide and facilitate access to training for village leaders and various village development groups on: -

-Good governance and leadership

-Entrepreneurship

-Communicative methods of community and independent work

-Good and nutritious food

-Provide with the best upbringing of children

vi.Being a link between the villagers (Ward Executive Officer) and other Government officials in carrying out development activities;

vii. Enabling citizens to plan and carry out independent work;

viii. Enabling citizens to identify and coordinate available resources and use them in independent projects;

ix.Collect, maintain, interpret and assist citizens to use various village statistics and records;

x. Enabling village leaders to use participatory community methods to prepare work schedules and implementation plans;

xi.Prepare and report monthly community development work to the village leadership and to the Community Development Officer at the ward level;

xii. To encourage and enable the community to see the importance of valuing the environment by using the environment in a sustainable way and especially to protect and conserve water resources for the use of current and future generations;

xiii.Helping to form social and developmental groups;

xiv. Coordinate the activities of NGOs and NGOs and social organizations;

xv.Coordinate anti-AIDS activities.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCEEmployed with a two-year training certificate in the field of Community Development from Buhare and Rungemba Community Development Colleges or other Government Recognized Colleges.
