Description
We are looking for an Agronomist.
Responsibilities :
- Developing better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improving crop yield, and solving problems for farmers.
- Researching and promoting agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage.
- Ensure new developments in crop varieties, disease and pest control, crop rotation, and tillage systems are implemented in farming.
- Working with farmers to determine the best method of improving crop production.
- Keeping detailed records regarding fields, farmers and crops.
- Developing planting and irrigation plans, schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Assesses crop production on the farm.
- Develop demonstrations farms that farmers will learn within the project area.
- Boost crop yields but also control pests and weeds and protect the environment.
- Developing better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improving crop yield, and solving problems for farmers.
- Researching and promoting agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage.
- Responsible for the documentation of project reports, including but not limited to monthly and quarterly reports.
