Position Overview

Our client is a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging and labelling solutions in Tanzania, serving clients across the East African region. The company provides customized, high-quality printing and packaging services designed to keep products safe, fresh, and market-ready. Operating under international standards, the organization places a strong emphasis on sustainability by recycling 100% of its in-house waste and aligning operations with continuous improvement and client-centric solutions.

The Administrative Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficient functioning of administrative and HR operations across departments. This role requires an experienced professional with strong organizational and leadership skills to support production, procurement, HR, and compliance efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating administrative systems, procedures, and people to ensure smooth internal operations and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Oversight

  • Manage daily administrative operations including office management, documentation, facility coordination, and staff support services.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across departments including production, HR, procurement, and finance.

HR & Compliance Management

  • Support the HR function by maintaining updated personnel records, leave management, recruitment support, and employee onboarding.
  • Ensure adherence to Tanzanian labor laws, OSHA regulations, and statutory compliance (NSSF, TRA, WCF, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit HR and compliance-related reports as required by local authorities.

System & Process Management

  • Utilize SAP (Administration & HR modules) for effective data management, reporting, and workflow optimization.
  • Monitor and improve administrative systems and processes to increase efficiency and support decision-making.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as the point of contact with external suppliers, service providers, and government bodies.
  • Ensure all office and facility-related contracts, licenses, and agreements are current and compliant.
  • Team Leadership & Reporting
  • Supervise administrative staff, ensuring performance, development, and alignment with company goals.
  • Prepare periodic reports for senior management on administrative matters, compliance status, and operational challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, a Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in administration or operations, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or FMCG environment.
  • Proven experience in using SAP – specifically Administration and HR modules.
  • Sound knowledge of Tanzania’s labor laws and compliance requirements (OSHA, NSSF, TRA, WCF).
