Description
Accountancy and Human Resource Management
- Manage the petty cash;
- Regularly register and verify the project expenditures, ensuring a correct budgetallocation;
- Prepare project financial and activities reports upon request;
- Ensure a proper management of all essential documents in IBO office: contracts, payrolls, rental agreements, project accountancy etc.
- In charge on the follow-up of the payment of the staff salary, related payments and arising government taxes;
- Be in charge of the arrangement of human resources records: contracts leave plans, disciplinary files etc.
- Contribute to the planning of expenses in coordination with the immediatesupervisor;
- Monitor cash-flow movements;
- Keep cash books records;
- Be aware of project budget and financial conditions and constraints;
- Participate in staff coordination meetings and contribute to follow up all the administrative issues;
- Monitor the field accounting and administrative procedures and correct, if necessary.
- Properly use the financial instruments at disposal (es. Tally, Quickbooks)
Procurement
- Support and follow up the procurement procedures (bids, offers, appraisals of quality and price) and supervise the contracts with awarded suppliers in collaboration with the staff;
- Follow up the procurement implementation (i.e. implementation of construction works, delivery of goods etc.)
Storing
- Supervise the stock, the compound and the equipment management and the availability of stock management documents (good receiving notes, delivery notes, etc.).
- .If necessary, support the organization of the storehouse.
- Any other task the Project Coordinator may ask for the benefit of the activities.
Required profile for job ad : AccountantEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy, Human Resources or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation, providing financial, human resource management, procurement and administration.
- Capacity to ensure all financial records and statements are in line with laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Working experience in an International NGO or donor-funded project(s) is an added value. Competencies
- Excellent user of MS Office (including Excel and Power Point).
- Fluency in written and oral English and Swahili.
- Planning and time management.
- Capacity building, training and coaching skills.
- Knowledge preparing accounts and tax returns.
- Technical expertise on administering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure. Personal qualities
