We are seeking a skilled and creative 2D Animator to join our team and contribute to the development of captivating animations. As a 2D Animator, you will play a crucial role in bringing characters, objects, and visual elements to life through motion and storytelling. Your artistic vision and technical expertise will be essential in creating compelling animated sequences that align with the project's objectives.

**This will be a project based position, candidates will need to be able to share their portfolio/samples of showreels as part of the recruitment process.**

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and develop animation ideas based on project requirements, storyboards, and design briefs.
• Create 2D character animations, including movement, expressions, and actions, to convey emotions, personality, and storytelling.
• Produce high-quality frame-by-frame animations using industry-standard software and tools.
• Collaborate with the art director, animation team, and other stakeholders to understand the project's vision and implement feedback and changes as needed.
• Ensure animations are consistent with the project's art style, theme, and overall visual direction.
• Rig and animate 2D assets, including characters, props, and environmental elements, while maintaining their visual integrity and functionality.
• Develop and refine animation pipelines and workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and technologies in 2D animation, and apply them to enhance the quality and creativity of animations.
• Meet project deadlines and milestones while maintaining a high level of animation quality.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as storyboard artists, sound designers, and video editors, to integrate animations seamlessly into the final product.
• Troubleshoot and resolve animation-related technical issues that may arise during production.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a 2D Animator or a similar role in the animation industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create high-quality 2D character animations.
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software
• Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, anticipation, and squash and stretch.
• Knowledge of rigging and character animation techniques.
• Familiarity with different animation styles and the ability to adapt to various visual aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency throughout multiple animations.
• Ability to take direction and implement feedback to meet project objectives.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• A passion for storytelling and a keen eye for visual storytelling techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Experience in working on animated films, TV shows, commercials, or video games.
• Proficiency in additional animation software, such as After Effects or Photoshop.
• Knowledge of 3D animation principles and software.
