PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To ensure the CCTV control room is manned so that CCTV surveillance, fleet tracking system, radio and telephone, alarm management and electronic access control are properly operated to manage security and safety risks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced Secondary education and above.
- Knowledge in security duties is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 Years’ experience in CCTV control room operations, Surveillance, Alarm, Fleet Monitoring operations.
- 2 years in security industry.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Intermediate computer course
- Must have good written and oral communication skills in English Language
- Body language skills
- CCTV Operator skill
- Basic Security skills
- Problem solving competency.
- Sound decision making.
- Teamwork attitude.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Conduct CCTV surveillance as per CCTV control room procedure.
- Ensure all incidents reported to the control room are properly received and recorded.
- Ensure reported incidents are escalated to the relevant senior and standby officers.
- Report observed intrusion and any breach to the security teams on the ground.
- Ensure the security response teams are warned on any threat that may endanger their lives when responding to an incident.
- Report any observed suspicious behaviour.
- Report any observed safety breaches, hazards, and safety incidents.
- Follow reporting procedure on reporting incidents.
- Ensure the control room is properly arranged and tidy all the time.
- Manage/Coordinate incidents reported to CCTV.
- Acknowledge all alarms on the system received from various areas and ensure required action is taken.
- Familiarize yourself with various security procedures to be able to work accordingly and notice any procedure breach.
- Take care of work-related equipment’s i.e., CCTV Control Room Equipment, furniture etc
- Work without frequent or constant supervision.
- Maintain control room operations confidentiality.
- Demonstrate good customer care on radio and telephone communication.
- Any other tasks assigned to you by your supervisor related to CCTV control room operations.
- Operate Airlock Gates and ensure information is given to the team in case of any system fault.
- Respond all emergency occurred and report to Emergency Response team.
- Ensure System is working properly and report all faults to CCTV Supervisor
- Ensure all Control room registers are filled properly.
- Ensure all reports received from other control rooms are reported to CCTV Supervisor
- Conduct Shipment exercise via cameras and give permission to Shipment commander to proceed.
- Ensure all shipment tools such as Radio and Cameras are charged and in good condition.
- Conduct Couching to new CCTV trainees.
- Attend all after hour intercom calls.
- Operate Weighbridge machine and ensure details are recorded correctly.
- Ensure all haulage monitored and recorded correctly.
