Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Journalist or Reporter - AI trainer and be at the forefront of shaping the future of AI-driven journalism. In this unique, remote, part-time role, you will leverage your expertise in news analysis and reporting to guide the development of next-generation AI models, ensuring high-quality and responsible news content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine AI training materials based on journalistic standards and ethical reporting principles.
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on AI-generated news stories, articles, reviews, and commentaries across multiple media formats.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to validate sources and enhance the accuracy and impartiality of AI-generated news content.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address gaps in AI understanding of news media practices.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize information using traditional journalistic methods, including interviews, investigations, and observation.
  • Advise on best practices for news storytelling and audience engagement for print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
  • Document processes and findings to help improve AI news-writing capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a journalist, news analyst, or reporter in print, broadcast, or digital media environments.
  • Strong command of journalistic ethics, standards, and source validation methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to clarity, objectivity, and detail.
  • Experience narrating or writing news stories, reviews, or commentaries for various communications channels.
  • Ability to analyze information critically and provide actionable feedback.
  • Familiarity with AI, digital tools, or data-driven newsrooms is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a virtual team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience training or mentoring in newsroom environments or academic settings.
  • Prior work with AI or machine learning teams, especially related to language or media technologies.
  • Advanced degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
