ii. Ensuring the safety of passengers and vehicles on board boats/ferries;

iii.Arranging passengers or vehicles on boats/ferries;

iv. Driving and guiding boats/ferries;

v. Maintaining boat/ferry trip logs

vi. Ensuring that ferry engines are in good working order; and

vii. Checking fuel and other working equipment.

• Recruitment of Form Four Graduates, with knowledge of boat/vessel operation and maintenance certified by the Dar es Salaam Marine Institute or any other institution recognized by the Government for a period of not less than two years; and those who have completed a six-month training course in water rescue, swimming and arranging people and vehicles on boats/vessels.
