Volunteer Primary School Teachers (694 Positions)

Job Description:

• Engage as volunteer teachers in primary schools under local government authorities.

• Work primarily in schools identified as having the highest need for teachers, including remote areas.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Academic Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Primary Education (Grade III A Teacher), or

  • Diploma in Education for Early Childhood, or

  • Diploma in Primary Education (Grade III B Teacher).

• General Requirements:

  • Must be a Tanzanian citizen.

  • Age must not exceed 43 years.

  • Provide certified copies of the following documents:

    • Birth certificate

    • Secondary school certificate (Form IV or VI)

    • Teacher training certificate or diploma

  • Must be willing to work in primary schools with high demand for volunteer teachers, especially in peripheral areas.

  • Must not be employed by the government or any other institution.

  • Must have never been dismissed or retired prematurely from public service due to misconduct.

  • Must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIDA).

  • Applicants educated abroad for secondary school must have a verification number (“EQ…” prefix) from the Tanzania Examinations Council (NECTA).
