Position Overview:
This position will be leading Sub-Saharan Africa region. The role requires a strong understanding of the aviation industry, including its technologies and challenges. The main focus is on building and maintaining relationships with aviation clients by offering tailored IT solutions and addressing their unique needs. Compliance with industry regulations and ensuring data security are also important aspects of the job. Networking within the industry, project management, proposal development, and identifying business growth opportunities are additional responsibilities. It is expected to have proven success record in TCV (Total Contract Value) and Ebitda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strategic relationships with aviation clients, such as airlines, airports, ground handlers and aviation service providers, with a focus on understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Solution Selling: Offering aviation-specific IT solutions, such as airline reservation systems, airport management systems, aircraft maintenance systems, or aviation data analytics, while highlighting the benefits and value they bring to clients' operations.
- Compliance and Security: Having knowledge of and addressing industry-specific regulations and security requirements, such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and aviation-specific regulations like ICAO, IATA, ACI guidelines.
- Industry Networking: Participating in industry events, conferences, and forums to stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and changes in the aviation IT landscape, while also building a strong network of aviation industry contacts.
- Project Management: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT developers, engineers, and aviation operations experts, to ensure successful implementation of IT solutions and services for aviation clients.
- Proposal Development: Creating and presenting proposals that outline IT solutions aligned with aviation industry needs, addressing efficiency, safety, and cost-reduction aspects for potential clients.
- Business Growth: Identifying opportunities for business expansion within the aviation IT industry, such as potential new markets, partnerships, or niche areas where IT solutions can make a significant impact on aviation operations.
- Account Management: Act as a liaison between the client and the internal teams, coordinating the delivery of services and managing customer expectations. Also help identify new business opportunities, expand the client base, and collaborate with various internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Industry Knowledge: Developing a deep understanding of the aviation industry, including the specific technologies, systems, and challenges relevant to aviation companies.
Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in aviation technologies sector and solid experience in business development.
- Fluent level of English.
- Proficiency in MS office programs, especially in Excel
- Excellent skills in problem solving, communication, adaptability, flexibility, collaboration and teamwork.
