Description
We are looking for a Line Cook.
Responsibilities :
Food Preparation:
- Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces, according to the recipes.
- Set up and stock the kitchen stations with all necessary supplies.
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
Cooking and Plating:
- Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, broiling, and baking, depending on the menu.
- Follow recipe guidelines and presentation standards to ensure consistency.
- Plate food in a visually appealing way, ensuring the final product meets the restaurant's quality standards.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
- Follow food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Clean and maintain cooking equipment and utensils.
Quality Control:
- Monitor the quality of food being prepared to ensure it meets restaurant standards.
- Ensure dishes are cooked to the appropriate temperature and served promptly.
Inventory Management:
- Help with inventory control by ensuring all supplies are available and notifying the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor of shortages.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking food items.
Teamwork and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house employees.
- Communicate effectively with the Chef or Sous Chef regarding food preparation and special orders.
- Maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
Health and Safety:
- Follow all safety and health procedures, including using equipment properly and wearing appropriate safety gear.
- Adhere to all local health regulations, including food handling and storage guidelines.

- Experience: Prior experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary position is preferred.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a hot and sometimes noisy environment.
- Certifications: A food handler’s certification may be required, depending on local regulations.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
