RTI-TZ is inviting qualified individuals to fill 30 research Assistants positions:
Responsibilities:

• Master study interview guides, survey questionnaires and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Master and demonstrate practical interviewing skills.
• Conduct and document informed consent to eligible research participants, as described in the study protocol, to ensure voluntary participation.
• Maintain respect and confidentiality during interviews.
• Upload survey data from the tablet to the study server every day. Report any issues with uploading to the study coordinator.
• Transcribe and translate audio recordings of in-depth interviews.
• Act responsibly, treat participants and the community respectfully, and demonstrate integrity at work.
• Perform other miscellaneous study-related duties as required

• A minimum degree in social sciences, health sciences, statistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in collecting both qualitative and quantitative data.
• Proficient in conducting surveys on tablet computers or mobile phones using REDCap, ODK Collect, and Survey CTO platforms, or comfortable using mobile devices.
• Fluent in both Swahili and English.
• Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to consistently adhere to study-specific procedures and guidelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an approachable demeanour that fosters positive interactions with young individuals.
• A friendly disposition with the ability to build rapport easily.
• Must be available for the entire training period and the anticipated data collection phase.
