Job Summary:
Brillian Safari is seeking for a highly skilled and motivated Accountant, who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and industry-specific regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
√ Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
√ Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial records for all departments, including tours, accommodations, transportation, and other services.
√ Oversee the proper recording and reconciliation of revenue streams including tour bookings, package sales, hotel accommodations, and other travel-related services.
√ Monitor and resolve discrepancies between customer payments, refunds, and cancellations in line with company policy.
√ Assist with analysing and forecasting travel-related expenses, such as transportation, accommodation, and customer service costs.
√ Stay current with tax laws and regulations affecting the tourism industry
√ Maintain accurate records for auditing purposes, ensuring the company adheres to international, federal, and state tax requirements.
√ Implement and maintain strong financial controls to prevent fraud and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
√ Assist with internal and external audits, providing all necessary financial documentation and reports.
√ Prepare forecasts and financial projections to help guide business planning.
√ Work closely with various departments to understand financial needs and provide insights into performance.
√ Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management and stakeholders to assist in decision-making processes.
√ Stay updated on industry trends, accounting software, and best practices to implement relevant improvements.

Qualifications:
√ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
√ At least 3-5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the tourism or travel industry and more than 3 years of management experience.
√ Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly within the tourism sector.
√ Proficiency in accounting software
√ Knowledge of General Business Practices
√ Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and time management skills.
