JOB DETAILS:
TITLE: Geologist
We're seeking a talented, skilled, and experienced Tanzanian geologist to join our team. Minimum qualifications and responsibilities are attached.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Geology or other related discipline (e.g., Geophysics, Hydrogeology, Geochemistry, Environmental Geology, Engineering Geology).
• Must have good computer skills, that include but are not limited to MS Office programs. → Experience with a range of geology programs, including MineSight and other GIS software.
• At least 5 years geology experience in open pit metalliferous mining.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify and assess the location, quantity, and quality of mineral deposits.
• Conduct geological mapping and create detailed maps for extraction and exploration.
• Collaborate with engineers on designing extraction plans and selecting drilling and blasting methods.
• Manage environmental impact, ensuring compliance with regulations and sustainability practices.
• Oversee project management, budgeting, and prepare technical reports for industry compliance.
