Jaza is a solar energy start-up working to power Sub-Saharan Africa. We build solar-powered shops which charge batteries customers use to power their homes. Since 2022, weve achieved over 3 million battery swaps, providing approximately 225,000 people access to clean, affordable energy.

Job Objective:

We are offering a six-month internship for aspiring and passionate software developers with possibility of transitioning into full-time position. This role is based in Al-Dua Tower, Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Role and responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining web applications using HTML, Tailwind CSS, and Laravel.
• Contribute to Android app development using Kotlin.
• Support development with a focus on creating responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and optimizing code to ensure high-quality performance.
• Communicate effectively with team members in a multicultural and multinational environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• knowledge of HTML, Tailwind CSS, and Laravel.
• Familiarity with Kotlin and Android development is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural team.
