JOB DETAILS:
Job Function
Supervise and coordinate all the yard and vessel execution, including control of equipment on the yard and gates, for achieving maximum utilizations of resources to meet landside and vessel targets.
Key Performance Areas:
• Ensure all items in daily yard inspection report.
• Taking regular rounds in yard to monitor the operations & noting damages, wrongly placed containers, twist locks in yard etc.
• Ensure all container doors are facing direction as planned
• Maximize the usage of yard equipment to achieve maximum productivity in both vessel & land side operation
• Manage IMO segregation in the yard according to IMO standard
• Ensure reefer containers are monitored and maintained according to the procedures
• Follow up on any leaking containers and initiate necessary action in coordination with planner
• Ensure OOG cargo in yard is secured properly on flats if not initiate necessary action
• Ensure empty containers do not have IMO labels & all doors are properly closed
• Ensure proper flow of information within the shifts
• Administer equipment interchange reports (EIR) to shipping line agents
• Coordinate landside points of work when there is ship working operations
• Ensure All External trucks are serviced within the agreed TTT
• Ensure all rail work is carried out as per plan
• Ensure all relevant data for containers moving on off rail wagons is properly recorded
• Ensure proper flow of information within the shifts
• Administer equipment interchange reports (EIR) to shipping line agents
• Administer procedures to prevent empty containers with IMO Label entering the terminal ensure label removal is invoiced
• Ensure all container doors are closed
• Ensure Trucks are positioned properly in yard.
• Ensure safe position of cranes during berthing, sailing and extreme and bad weather conditions.
• Ensure vessel position in wharf is according to the berth plan.
• Ensure all items in vessel inspection checklist before vessel starting.
• Administrate vessel operations as per crane work program to ensure set production targets are met.
• Acquire and distribute all the documents to be used for discharge and load operations.
• Administrate optimal allocation of available resources to achieve set production targets.
• Coordinate landside points of works when there is ship working operations
• Supervise on board and on wharf vessel operations including lashing.
• Liaise with CT Superintendent and vessel planner for any problems encountered or changes required to crane program or load plan.
• Liaise with yard supervisor about head truck logistics under crane.
• Ensure safe handling of OOG Cargo.
• Give instructions to chief lasher about work plan.
• Ensure lashing is performed per lashing plan. chief officer to signed off on completion.
• Generate and sign off accident and damage reports and report it to shift Superintendent.
• Administer short landed / over landed units.
• Monitor and record vessel productivity and delays.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor Educational Degree
Experience and Skills Required:
• Work Experience from 4:6 years in terminal operations, Heavy mechanical industries such as Airline, Manufacture or similar.
• V. Good knowledge of Equipment KPIs
• Fully Conversant with Safety Procedures
• Good in Ms Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook
